During the holiday season we connect with family and friends. For seniors this can be a bittersweet time of the year. Our team will share the importance of connection and communication during the holidays. They will also have a some fun activities planned for our dear seniors.

Mental health problems are common among seniors and may include isolation, affective and anxiety disorders, dementia, and psychosis. We will discuss ways to identify and work with mental health-related issues.

Many older adults are remaining or becoming sexually active. We will discuss things like online dating, red flags, sexuality, sexual health, and more!

This month we plan to discuss food safety and also health aging. By sharing tips and tricks to staying on top of health habits, seniors can live more fulfilling lives.

Seniors are often the target of a variety of scams, this month our educators will share questions to ask and things to look out for when they get a suspicious phone call or email.

This month's goal is helping seniors plan for the ‘What If’. We will be discussing advance directives as well as health planning.

Understanding the importance of having one’s paperwork in order including wills and advance directives is at the core of this month’s workshop. Our team will be on hand to answer questions as well as provide relevant literature.

February is American Heart Month, a time when all people can focus on their cardiovascular health.
Our nurse educators are shining a light on hypertension (high blood pressure), a leading risk factor for heart disease and stroke. We are committed to addressing barriers to health equity in communities disproportionately affected by cardiovascular disease.
